Chaskielberg documente les ravages du tsunami dans un projet très personnel. Il nous livre des clichés de la ville d'Otsuchi et de ses habitants rescapés photographiés sur leur lieu de vie avant le désastre. Ses photos, à l'origine en noir et blanc, ont ensuite été colorisées en suivant les couleurs d'images trouvées dans les décombres qui sont aussi reproduites dans l'ouvrage.
